I have sewn since childhood. I started constructing wedding dresses in my early 20s. I have been in the bridal industry for over 30 years. Mentored by many bridal shops, I have performed alterations for thousands of brides.
In 2020 I started my Anderson Alterations Academy. This is an online school that teaches bridal alterations. I have videos and do one on one zoom mentoring with my students. Seeing my students develop their own successful businesses doing bridal alterations Is so amazing. I am so proud of my students. They are learning skills that will never be outdated or outsourced overseas. It's a dying art and the demand for these skills is high. Most of my students are turning away work because they have all they can handle.
