We are seeking instructors for diverse teaching formats to suit varying levels of time commitment and complexity. The Class Proposal Form includes expanded options for class length and format.

Short session classes 30, 45, or 60+ minutes - Focused lectures or demonstrations for quick learning.
Workshops Half-day to Full-day - Comprehensive, hands-on, or practical training sessions.
Master Classes 2 to 3 Days - Deep-dive, immersive educational experiences for advanced skills.

2026 Annual Educational Conference

Kansas City, Missouri | Core Conference October 15-18, 2026

The ASDP Educational Conference is a multi-day conference that brings together entrepreneurs, established and emerging professionals, students, and enthusiasts in the fields of sewing and design. The core conference will be held October 15-18, 2026 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Core Conference Classes will balance a blend of half, full, and multi-day classes. In-depth Master Classes suited for advanced skill development in a concentrated time frame, with Pre- Core Conference dates available.

We are seeking proposals from potential educators for business or skill-based classes to keep conference attendees up-to-date on all the latest issues, trends, and techniques. We welcome proposals for classes related to the sewing and design industry, including: Business/ marketing, Sewing/ fitting, Alterations, Specialty (bridal, menswear, pattern making, design, illustration, etc.), and Self-care.

Proposals should be submitted through the Proposal Form
Each class proposal should be an individual submission

Relevance and quality of content
Speaker's qualifications and experience
