2025 Student Challenge

“Summer Concert Challenge”

The Association of Sewing and Design Professionals would like to invite Student Designers to create an ensemble to attend a Summer Concert.

Concerts vary by genre, with unique atmospheres at different venues, and have changed through the decades. You may design for any type of concert your client will be attending. We ask that your design be appropriate for the chosen concert environment and avoid overtly risqué garments.

We are looking for you to draw inspiration from the chosen musical influence and create a design that expresses an individual style. The design should include at least one stand-out element, which could be an accessory or unique feature that enhances the overall outfit. We ask that no more than $50 be spent in creating the design.

Register to Participate

How to Participate:

1. Register an Intent to Enter:

• The minimum age requirement to enter is 16, and entrants must be able to verify student status.
• $10.00 for each entry must be submitted with the registration form. Limit of three entries per participant.
• Registrations must be received by 10 pm EDT June 15, 2025.

2. Receive Entry Number

• Entry numbers will be sent July 10, 2025.
• Challenge participants will be sent their challenge entry number and additional challenge instructions by email; please add studentchallenge@sewingprofessionals.com to your safe list.

3. Complete Entry Submission:

• Entry submissions are completed through the online Student Challenge Submission Form.
• Submissions must be received by 10 pm EDT August 15, 2025.
